Some people find the BlackBerry (and other smart phones) intrusive. Business contacts can always track them down, providing no ‘break’ from the work grind.
I feel quite the opposite. My BlackBerry allows me to feel comfortable walking out of the office–even taking a day off to ski with my family in the woods of Vermont. For me, and I imagine many other users, smart phones allow more time away from a traditional desk, and less anxiety about it.
I like to talk about work-life balance. Used wisely, a smart phone will get you just that.
