Will Print Magazines Ever Rebound?

Amy Katz and I are often asked if Nine Lives Media Inc. plans to launch any print magazines.

• Our short answer: Absolutely not
• Our long answer: If you pay us enough, we’ll consider it

Fact is, Amy and I love magazines. We’ve worked on some big IT and business titles in our day. But those titles are shrinking or disappearing entirely from print. In fact, another major print magazine died earlier today.

Now the Real Work Begins

As I toured Australia last week, I heard the same message over and over again. As one Australian told me: “America is our close cousin, mate. We love you but we hope you become a better world citizen.”

We’ve done a lot of things right — and a lot of things wrong — as a nation. Regardless of whom you supported in the US Presidential Election, it’s time for us to capture the energy we’re witnessing this evening and move forward. We’ve all got a lot of work to do.
